In re: Continued Use of Advanced Communication Technology

AND NOW, this 7th day of October 2021, pursuant to the authority granted by the
Supreme Court, by Order of October 1, 2021 at Docket No. 21 EM 2020 (attached), it is hereby

ORDERED and DECREED as follows:
1. The emergency use of Advanced Communication Technology (ACT) in court
proceedings shall continue through November 1, 2021. Judges shall be present in the
courthouse, judicial center, or other court facility whenever a proceeding is being
conducted by ACT, except for extraordinary circumstances, such as when court facilities have been closed due to inclement weather or other emergency under Pa.R.J.A. Nos. 950-1954; or when a proceeding is not being conducted during normal business hours.
2. The Administrative Judge of each Division shall continue to issue Administrative Ordersas appropriate for continued use of advanced communication technology (ACT) through November 1, 2021.
